Hopalong Cassidy (60 min), the first picture in this series finds Bill "Hopalong" Cassidy and the cowboys of the Bar 20 up in arms against the cowhands at a neighboring ranch. It's up to Hopalong to find the truth behind the missing cattle that could ignite a range war. Wheat he discovers is a gang of rustlers stealing cattle from both ranches and setting them against each other. In a hail of gunfire and a cloud of trail dust, the cowboys take off for Thunder Mesa for a final showdown with rustlers.
Bar 20 Rides Again (63 min.), Hopalong and the boys of the Bar 20 find themselves pitted against a nefarious, land-grubbing outlaw Nevada, who goes by the name of Perdue and attempts to court the daughter of a wealthy rancher. When one of Hoppy's boys takes a fancy to the same girl, Perdue decides to murder the cowboy, and Hoppy, disguised as one of Perdue's gang, is assigned to pull the trigger. Once Perdue catches on to the trick, Hoppy's in hot water, and it's up to the cowhands of the Bar 20 to ride to the rescue.
