For His Country, His President, His Love.

Carlos Gallardo (El Mariachi) stars as Mexican Secret Service agent Carlos Bravo, fierce protector of President Montano (Gustavo Ganem), the scourge of the drug cartels.Though things are improving in Mexico, all is not well at the Presidential Hacienda:Since the death of Montano's wife at the hands of drug traffickers, the country's troubles have superseded those of his two children. His son Enrique (Miguel Angel Roldan) has joined a group of anti government rebels.Marisol (Maribel Oporto), his headstrong daughter, has fallen in love with Carlos Bravo. The agent's attempts to break off the romance are futile.Enrique soon learns of their trysts and reports Bravo's indiscretion. With the loss of his career and his true love, Bravo turns to his only other passion: Music.

Following a government seizure of an enormous cocaine shipment, the U.S. Ambassador honors Montano with a banquet. Not coincidentally, Bravo's mariachi band is scheduled to perform.Enrique, feeling slighted by his father, has arranged for his rebel group to stage a demonstration during the banquet.Meanwhile, drug lord Alderan Thorn (Richard B. Livingston), an ex-DEA agent and backer of the rebels, headed by renegade General Rodriguez (Oscar Castaneda), has his own surprise planned: a violent takeover of the Presidential Hacienda.

With the President and his daughter held hostage, Thorn things he has the upper hand. But he hadn't counted on the lone musician who was once a top Secret Service agent.Bravo, aided by Enrique, improvises a plan to rescue the President and put a stop to Thorn's designs.Armed with his love for Marisol and his dedication to the President, Bravo turns the tables in this action packed story of love, betrayal and patriotism.
