The Greatest Survival Story Of All Time.

Notice: Men wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages. Bitter cold. Long months of complete darkness. Constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in case of success.
- Ernest Shackleton

Shackleton's Antarctic Adventure recounts the extraordinary true story of polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton's 1914- 1916 British Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition, which many consider "the greatest survival story of all time." This expedition has become a testament to heroism and human endurance, with all 28 men surviving nearly two years in the barren, frigid Antarctic when their ship, the Endurance, was caught in pack ice and eventually crushed.

The giant screen film features stunning Antarctic images and re-creations filmed in 1999 and 2000, plus the remarkable original still photography and 35 mm motion-picture of Frank Hurley, the official photographer of the Endurance expedition.
