Disc Seven:
Art Clokey was born in Detroit in 1921. His childhood held many memorable visits with his grandparents, on a Michigan farm where a sticky mud called Gumbo was plentiful. He often played with his friends, in a creek behind the farm, building gumbo forts and gumbo soldiers. In the farm-house living room, a High School graduation photo to Art's father hung on the wall. The bump on Gumby's head is inspired by the cowlick or hair-style worn by Art's dad in that photo
