At his agent's party, Ryan, a young screenwriter, and Joel, Ryan's boyfriend, meet Leo, an aspiring novelist and college student. During an intense conversation, Ryan feels connected to Leo as if everyone else at the party has vanished. Hanging out with Leo, Ryan soon becomes infatuated and sees him as his possible soul mate. After breaking off his three-year relationship with Joel, despite knowing they are both still very much in love, Ryan drifts into three different possibilities of a love triangle, filled with twists and surprises.
