The Fighting Arts Of China

Amidst arduous training, the martial arts teach harmony of mind and body and an age-old code of honor and respect. They empower the warrior to face life or death with equal calm and resolve.

Now, for the first time, the ancient teachings, practices and rituals of the world's most awesome martial arts are revealed in The Secret of the Warrior's Power.

Kung Fu:The Fighting Arts of China
The Chinese monks of the Shaolin temple faced a paradox in their teachings . . . They had to defend themselves against the threats posed by their enemies, while at the same time preserve the spiritual harmony that defined a life dedicated to Buddha.

Under Bodhidarma's tutelage, they developed a series of 18 unique movements to unlock the secret of Chi - man's mysterious vital essence. These movements, when combined with the right breathing techniques, turned the monks into deadly warriors and formed the basis of what we know today as Kung Fu - a martial art with millions of devotees worldwide.

Featured in this program are some of the most skilled and respected masters - masters who continue to teach the many weapons, animal techniques and empty handed forms Kung Fu is famous for:Grandmaster Chan Pui, Master Dennis Brown, Grandmaster Pan Qing Fu, former Shaolin Monk Sifu Shi Yan-Ming and the legendary Bruce Lee.
