Build A Better Mousetrap:
Cathy, having joined a motorcycle gang, asks two old ladies for permission to hold a "scramble" on their fields.Denying the request, the ladies cast a spell.Lo and behold the motorbikes inexplicably stall, along with every mechanical device for miles around.Is it witchcraft?The local nuclear test facility?Or something even more sinister?
The Outside-In Man:
When an anti-British activist once marked for termination arrives in England with diplomatic immunity, the agent sent to kill him years ago "returns from the dead" to finish the job.Now Steed must protect the traitor from a fellow British agent!Look for a rare appearance of Steed's "superior", Quilpie, undercover in a butcher's shop.
The Charmers:
When a number of agents -- friend and foe -- are murdered, Steed suspects a third party is responsible.An exchange of hostages, including Cathy, facilitates a shaky cooperative detente that leads The Avengers to a charm school for gentlemen assassins.The Charmers was later remade, with Diana Rigg, as The Correct Way To Kill.

An agent dies in a suspicious fire, leaving only a rare chess piece as a clue.Dope smuggling, kidnapping and resurrected lobstermen set the tempo for Cathy Gale's farewell Avengers episode.The final scene features Steed tweaking Cathy about her plans to "pussyfoot around" on the beach in the Bahamas.Off camera, Honor Blackman has decided to leave the show to play Pussy Galore in Goldfinger.
