Glyndebourne Festival Opera is a unique musical experience.Every summer it offers the best of international opera set in the gardens of the Glydebourne estate in England's rolling Sussex countryside.At one of the most glittering events of the opera season, a host of opera's leading personalities gather to provide an evening of unsurpassed musical pleasure.The singers taking part include Montserrat Caballe, Felicity Lott, Ruggero Raimondi, Benjamin Luxon, Kim Begley, Frederica von Stade and Cynthia Haymon.The festival's current music director, Andrew David, and his predecessor, Bernard Haitink, conduct the London Philharmonic, one of the world's greatest orchestras and Glyndebourne's resident orchestra since 1964.

Sir George Christie, son of festival founders Sir John Christie and soprano Audrey Mildmay, hosts the evening.Glydebourne luminaries Dame Janet Baker, the late Sir Geraint Evans and Elisabeth Soderstrom join Sir George for this magical evening of opera's finest performances.

His Royal Highness, The Prince Of Wales, is present to witness this momentous evening, which is brought to a stunning climax with a spectacular display of fireworks lighting up the summer sky.
