Crime Lives!
Woody Allen, Janet Margolin, Marcel Hillaire, Jacquelyn Hyde, Lonny Chapman, Jackson Beck Woody Allen stars as Virgil Starkwell in his first feature film as writer, director and star, told in a pseudo-documentary style that is simply hilarious. Virgil has a problem with authority which leads him to a life of crime. After being thrown in jail and released, he meets the lovely laundress, Lousie, whom he desperately tries to impress. Determined to change his life with one bold stroke, Virgil attempts to rob a bank. The results are disastrous, leading to a non-stop parade of jokes as he tries to make his way back to Louise. LBX 1.66:1.
