Cause For Alarm (1951) places film noir in the average American home, as a wildly jealous husband (Barry Sullivan) accusing his wife (Loretta Young) of having an affair and plotting his murder.Director Tay Garnet wrings the utmost tension from every possible situation, as he did in The Postman Always Rings Twice.The result is a fast-paced B picture more impressive than most A's of the period.
