To escape the global hysteria and the final countdown to the new millennium, a group of friends decide to flee Paris and exile themselves on a remote Mediterranean island called The Sanguinaires.There, they must resist the temptation to break the rules that are set up to cut themselves off from the world.But their leader, Francois, cannot find his place in what he himself had wanted and organized.It turns out you can't escape from the world that easily.
