"Superb Jazz Music And A Sparkling Script!"-New York Post

Set against the sights and sounds of the Greenwich Village jazz scene, The Tic Code is the story of three people who come to accept that, even though life doesn't always deal you a fair hand, you learn to play with the one you've got.For 12-year-old piano prodigy Miles (Christopher George Manquette) the only escape from his troubles is into the world of jazz music.Focusing on Miles' problems as a convenient way to ignore her own, his shy, gentle mother Laura (Polly Draper) secretively arranges with a jazz club owner for Miles to jam with his musical idol, saxophonist Tyrone Pike (Gregory Hines).Miles and Tyrone become instant friends, and when Tyrone meets Laura, romance blossoms. But the secret Tyrone shares with Miles threatens to destroy everything. This movie features cameos by jazz greats Dick Berk, John B. Williams and Carlos McKinney. The music sets the mood for this story about three people breaking free to find themselves by discovering each other.
