A Brothers Grimm Fairy Tale

In a quest to win the love of a beautiful but self-centered princess, a handsome prince sets out in search of the magical singing, ringing tree, which the princess ardently desires. He stumbles upon the tree in an enchanted garden ruled by a wicked dwarf. The dwarf allows him to take the tree under one condition: the prince must secure the princess's love before nightfall or he will turn into a bear. This indeed comes to pass. The bear employs cunning to bring the hardhearted princess to the magic garden, where, deprived of her beauty and power, her heart gradually softens. She makes friends with all of the animals and falls in love with the gentle bear, and eventually her beauty is restored. The dwarf, recognizing that his plans have been foiled, lures the princess away from the enchanted wood. This makes for the final, happy climax.
