In a faraway place in the Orient lives a little old hunchbacked man.The children there constantly tease and taunt him, until one day he charms them with the story of his life:A little boy called Mook is banished from his home by his mean relatives after the death of his father.He sets out into the desert to seek fortune and encounters a strange old woman.Locked in her hut, he comes across a pair of magic running slippers and a wand, which can divine buried treasures.Convinced that he has found his fortune, Mook moves on to the next town, where he becomes a superior sprinter in the Sultan's court.Mook's rapid advancement arouses the envy of the courtiers, who involve him in an intrigue and succeed in hounding him from the palace.Yet, the adventures of Little Mook do not end here
