Satellite Repairs The August 1985 lauch of the space shuttle Discovery was planned and executed in only four months. The primary objectives of this mission were the retrieval of an inoperative Syncom satellite, the repair of the satellite, and its subsequent return to its proper orbit. Watch in amazement as each step in the laborious process is graphically photographed and explained in vivid detail. Also documented is the successful deployment of numerous satellites, including the ASC-1 and Aussat-1. Another highlight of this film is the spectacular footage of weather disturbances on Earth.
