Show #1: Angel On My Shoulder
A gangster is murdered by his own henchman and is sent to Hell, but the Devil has a deal. The Devil promises him revenge against the double-crossing henchman if he agrees to occupy the body of a saintly judge and corrupt the court, tilting the scales of justice to the Devil's own ends. Can good win out over evil in such a devilish scheme?Paul Muni, one of the most acclaimed actors of the movies, was reluctant to play another gangster after his searing performance in Scarface (he turned down the lead in High Sierra for the same reason).Nevertheless Muni gave another energetic performance as the thuggish gangster coping with the strange surroundings of the judge's household and court. But dapper Claude Rains steals the scenes as the calculating and wry 'Nick'.Rains, known for his roles as a suave cad in The Invisible Man and Casablanca, makes as marvelous a devil in Angel On My Shoulder as he did an angel in Here Comes Mr. Jordan.Anne Baxter also stars in this hilarious comedy made in 1946.

Show #2: The Devil & Hollywood
Call him Lucifer, Satan, Mephistopheles, 'Mr. Scratch,' or just plain 'the Devil', he has always had a certain screen presence which made him the perfect movie villain.Since the beginning of motion pictures, the Devil has been conjured up in motion pictures the embodiment of pure evil.Actors love the role of the Devil, and no wonder: The Devil always gets the best lines. Here is a collection of original theatrical trailers which demonstrate how the movies have regarded Satan in a wide range of genres; from terrifying horror movies to slapstick comedy.Has Hollywood gone to the Devil, or has the Devil gone Hollywood?
