Skiing -- Extreme Ski Champion Gordy Peifer, along with World Extreme Ski Champion Francine Moreillon ski a peak called The Temptress in the mountains surrounding Juneau, Alaska. This mountain, so steep that its face is convex, created a situation where the skiers had to ski blind, using technique based upon instinct rather than eyesight.
Snowboarding -- Four of the world's best snowboarders, including 4-time World Champion Craig Kelly, tackle narrow steep couloirs with jagged rock bands, faces so steep the snow barely settles, and terrain so steep that it is rarely considered accessible even by athletes of this caliber.
