At the end of a century...When man still dreamed of flying, the people of Aurora, Texas had an encounter that was out of this world.

It's 1897 in the sleepy Texas town of Aurora, and the extraordinary is about to occur: Out of the night skies comes a spaceship carrying a mysterious alien (played by Mickey Hays, a remarkable young boy with a rare genetic disease Progeria that accelerates the aging process to seven times the normal rate) who will change the lives of the townsfolk forever, including the new editor of the local paper (Carol Bagdasarian), the skeptical Sheriff (Peter Brown of The Bold and the Beautiful) and most of all, an eccentric old codger (legendary Western character actor Jack Elam). What starling secrets does this extraterrestrial visitor hold? And what will be the incredible legacy of The Aurora Encounter?

Country music superstar Dottie West and Spanky McFarland of Little Rascals fame co-star in this unique sci-fi family adventure produced and directed by Jim McCullough (Mountaintop Motel Massacre, Where the Red Fern Grows Part 2) and based on the sensational true story that captured America's imagination at the dawn of the 20th Century.
