The fate of a nation rests on the courage of one man.

Concorde flight #909 streaks into the skies over Washington DC. On board, Presidential candidate Stuart Davis and Air Force liaison Jack Tyree carry a computer disk that implicates U.S. Vice President Pike in the biggest illegal arms deal of the century. But Pike is one step ahead. Within minutes of takeoff, his handpicked terrorists hijack the Concorde, killing the flight crew and the pilot. Under orders from the White House, the U.S. Navy enters the picture - with direct orders to blow the supersonic airliner out of the sky. With no way to contact the ground, flying out of control at twice the speed of sound, the passengers' only hope is Air Force Captain Jack Tyree. And he doesn't know how to fly.
