The fifth release in the acclaimed PBS Art of series of documentaries, The Art of Violin is a dramatically conceived video from director Bruno Monsaigeon that captures the greatest fiddle players of the 20th century at the top of their form. Rarely seen film clips, restored using the most sophisticated video technologies available, of such legends as David Oistrakh, Fritz Kreisler, Joseph Szigeti, Jascha Heifetz and many others. Never have these greats been seen on film in this vivid way before. With commentary by Hilary Hahn, Itzhak Perlman, Laurent Kocia and Yehudi Menuhin.
