Welcome to the town of Hellview!

The Hudson Brothers and a variety of familiar faces star in this hilarious murder mystery spoof. In the tradition of Scary Movie, Hysterical parodies horror films such as Dracula, The Amityville Horror and The Exorcist, as well as classics like Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark.In the spirit of Airplane!, this fast-moving laugh fest also boasts plenty of physical comedy, farce, satire, Marx Brothers style-wordplay and outrageous musical numbers.

Particularly fun in seeing well-known stars pop up in roles that parody their own media images like femme fatale Julie "Catwoman" Newmer as Venetia, a sexually frustrated ghost who seeks revenge on an entire resort town, and Richard Kiel, the gigantic, metal-mouthed "Jaws" in The Spy Who Loved Me, as Captain Howdy, her love slave.Other celebrities in off-the-wall supporting roles include Bud Cort (Harold and Maude) as a mortician, Murray Hamilton (Jaws) as the sharkphobic mayor, comedian Charlie Callas as Count Dracula and sophisticated sex symbol Cindy Pickett as the sheriff's innocent daughter.

With a genre as ripe for parody as horror, can this entertaining film -- filled with zombies, an ominous lighthouse, a curse, possession, human sacrifice and a brain-twisting mystery -- be anything but Hysterical?
