When their bad boy boyfriends are busted, streetwise born-in-the-barrio Carmen (Elizabeth Pena) teams up with straight-laced Beverly Hills-bred Kathy (Christina Applegate) to make tracks for the Mojave Desert. There, amidst the hot springs and king snakes, this unlikely duo squares off with half-cocked cowboys, gold-fevered prospectors – and one very sexy firefighter – as they build a new life for themselves...all while trying to remain faithful to their incarcerated main squeezes.
