If romance were like skydiving, Paula would make sure to get it right the first time. Instead, she again falls without a chute for an actor, only to be dumped when his career break comes. What’s more, Paula's latest flameout leaves her an unwelcome parting gift: he sublets the apartment they share to another actor!
Writer Neil Simon provides his trademark wit and charm and Richard Benjamin (My Favorite Year) directs this remake of Simon's The Goodbye Girl. Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond) plays Paula, mother of a 10-year-old (Hallie Kate Eisenberg) and a victim of Cupids' misfirings. Jeff Daniels (Dumb & Dumber) is the actor who shares Paula's home...and starts hoping there's room in her heart. Simon says enjoy!
