She's Getting A Crash Course In Love

Esai Morales (NYPD Blue) stars in this lively Latin love story, featuring Emmy® Award winner A Martinez (Santa Barbara) as El Commandante, the fifth generation dictator of a Caribbean island. Days before her wedding, his daughter Margarita (Charlotte Ayanna) swerves to miss a stray pig, and her car hits Rogelio (Kuno Becker), a poor villager from the other side of the island, instead.

What seems like a chance meeting was actually brought about by magic, and will have hilarious consequences not only for her love life, but also for the fate of both the rich and poor on the island. The villagers are on the verge of leaving, unable to fish for a living because of the contamination in the water, yet El Commandante's right-hand man, Pineda (Morales), has a safe full of dark secrets. Reuben Gonzalez (Mambo Café) scripted this zesty romantic comedy directed by Matia Karrell, whose Cadillac Dreams was an Academy Award nominee for best live-action short film.
