One intrepid sailor stands against a fleet of the enemy in this "thrilling" (Cue), "first-rate" (The Film Daily) drama that "ably captures the full flavor of naval combat" (The Film Daily). Starring Jeffrey Hunter (The Searchers), Michael Rennie (The Day The Earth Stood Still) and Oscar®-winning actress Wendy Hiller (A Man For All Seasons), Sailor Of The King is a rousing wartime adventure!

When his cruiser is sunk by the Nazis, Signalman Brown (Hunter) is captured. Breaking loose in a daring escape, he steals a rifle and is able to pick off German sailors one by one as they try to repair their damaged ship. As the frustrated battalion closes in on his hideout, Brown fights on, determined to hold them off till the British can regroup and return... and send the enemy to the bottom!
