Leonard Grey (James Caan), superintendent of Jericho Mansions, may live in a small world, but he cares for every inch of it. For the last thirty years, the apartment building has been his universe and sanctuary. Leonard's life, however, is suddenly turned upside down when the landlady accuses him of stealing worthless items from her apartment and some of the quirky residents begin to voice their discontent with him. Are they conspiring to kick him out? When one of the tenants is found murdered, Leonard is all but convinced that there is a connection and decides to get to the bottom of the mystery, once and for all. Even though the cops believe they have the right killer and motive, Leonard's investigation uncovers clues that point in a different direction...maybe even to himself.
