Rachel Griffiths stars as Annie-Mary, a gawky, thirty-three year old post-adolescent Welsh girl whose dreams of being an opera singer were dashed by her strict overbearing father, Jack (Jonathan Pryce), known to all as "The Voice Of The Valleys."
