Crime Pays…Just Not Enough
Linda Bronco (Sean Young - Blade Runner, Ace Ventura) is determined that her sensitive son Mike (Tony Denman - Go, Fargo) will break free of the trailer park life by graduating college and becoming a family therapist. But it won't be easy. Fired from her job and abandoned by her one-eyed pro wrestler husband, Linda now has to rescue Mike and his slow-witted pal Lynard "Lennie" Lake (Jacob Tierney), who got caught roasting a Chevy Vega.
When their drunken public defender (Tim Kazurinsky - TV's SNL) makes matters worse, the boys turn to Lennie's lawyer grandfather (William Devane - Space Cowboys, Hollow Man), owner of Uncle Ron's Land O' Law and a truly impressive beer can garden. At a hearty Waffle House lunch, Linda, Mike and Lennie decide that robbing the rich (such as they are) of Sunrise, IL, is their only hope of paying Ron's legal fees and Mike's tuition. Along for the ride is school-yard bully Brian Ross (Jason London - Dazed and Confused) who's hot for Ron's sexy young trophy wife Sandy (Jaime Pressly - Tomcats, TV's Jack & Jill, Joe Dirt). But the best laid plans of mice and mullets go astray as the members of Team Bronco become warring factions. It's Linda, Mike and Lennie against Sandy and a posse of gun-toting townies - and the prize is a trailer full of stolen cash!
