A Comedy with High Notes.

Popular restaurateur Lupo couldn't carry a tune if it had a handle. But sing he must. The woman he adores will not accept him until he can sing passionate operatic arias.

Rodney Dangerfield, drawing on his knack for one-liners in almost any situation, is Lupo, a man gone stupo over love. Duped by con artists (Robert Davi and Richard Libertini) more interested in Lupo's dough than his do-re-mi, Lupo flies to Italy to learn to warble like the immortals. But his stage debut is a disaster, and Lupo flees for his life from enraged patrons. He finds refuge at a farm where there are grapes to stomp, a farmer's daughter (Anita DeSimone) to woo - and a magical secret that may forever put a song in Lupo's heart if not on his lips.
