She's In Your Soul...

Superstar musician, actress and talk show host Queen Latifah presents Mama Africa, a tapestry of dynamic stories told by women. Coming from an African perspective, but universal in its themes, this trilogy of short films explores the hardships of coming of age in a challenging world.

Uno's World- (Directed by Bridget Pickering) Uno, a beautiful but tired 25 year old single mother, is forced to face overwhelming responsibilities after falling love with a man who doesn't want to commit.

Hang Time- (Directed by Ngozi Onwurah) Desperate to impress an American scout, a talented basketball player from Nigeria turns to crime in order to get the sneakers he believes will fulfill his dreams.

Raya- (Directed by Zulfah Otto-Sallies) Having rebelled against her strict Muslim upbringing, Raya returns home from jail, determined to start a new life. But can she truly turn her back on the past?
