A young boy named Ceddie (Freddie Bartholomew) awakens in Brooklyn, New York one day in 1855 to find himself an English Lord. After Ceddie bids goodbye to his friends Dick the bootblack (Mickey Rooney), Mr. Hobbs the grocer and the Applewoman, the family lawyer takes him and his young widowed mother to live with the Earl of Dorincourt in England.

When they arrive, they find that the Earl is an unfeeling man who treats his servants, tenants and pastor terribly. But he takes an immediate liking to the independent young Ceddie and undergoes a remarkable change.

Little Lord Fauntleroy is a delight for all ages, a true family classic that survives the test of time, thanks to a meticulous production, a fine cast, and excellent source material.
