"A Fine Children's Film…A Treat For Adults, Too."-Leonard Maltin

This sentimental and romantic story of a young man whose life is totally changed by his affections for an engaging otter, features the stars of Born Free.

Graham Merrill (Bill Travers) lives in London, but loathes the relentless hustle and noise of the city. One day he notices a caged otter in a pet shop window, and each day as he passes the window, he feels a strange affinity grow between them. Finally, Graham buys the otter, who he names "Mij," but soon discovers that the city is not the place for his lovable pet. He decides to move to the gorgeous Scottish Highlands and meets a beautiful lady doctor named Mary MacKenzie (Virginia McKenna). Their mutual love of animals forges a romantic bond between them, and that bond is strengthened by their common interest in "Mij."

This charming film will entertain children and adults alike as it follows the adventures of Graham, Mary and "Mij" in their heartwarming tale of friendship.
