You Haven't Had This Much Fun…In Years!
Early '70s rock / R&B sensation Bloodstone, star in this rarely seen 1975 musical comedy.Dubbed the "Black Beatles" by the English rock press, this HELP-like film was produced by the team of George G. Braunstein & Ron Hamady (Fade To Black), written by Dan Gordon (Passenger 57) and directed by TV comedy veteran, Charles Rondeau (F Troop, Love American Style).
Imagine Humphrey Bogart, W.C. Fields, Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, Bela Lugosi and other celebrities dancing and singing their way through a night of mayhem and murder on a train bound for Hollywood. It is now up to Bloodstone (Willis Draffen Jr., Charles Love, Charles McCormick and Harry Williams) as singing train conductors to solve the mystery. The film is filled with over-the-top, Marx Brothers-style musical numbers that must be seen to be believed!
Bloodstone has experienced a recent resurgence in popularity with the CD re-release of their R&B classics. The group's first hit, "Natural High", can be heard on the soundtrack of Quentin Tatantinto's film, Jackie Brown.
